What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes with gripping soles are the only must. Recommended gear to bring includes sunscreen, hats and a camera. Rocky Trails' vans will be supplied with water bottles, knapsacks, and extra hats and jackets for participant use.
Reservation Information
Reservation Deposit - Each reservation requires a portion of the fare be paid as a confirmation deposit at the time of booking. This is usually paid with a credit card. The individual tour operator will charge the remainder of the fare.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
For each reservation cancelled there is a $25 cancellation-processing fee. Reservation cancellations made at least 48 hours before tour departure will receive a refund except for the $25 fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure time will not receive a refund.
Because most of our tours use small vehicles with limited seating capacity, last minute reservation cancellations affect our ability to make these tours viable. Therefore we have to have some refund restrictions.
No-shows If you fail to appear at the pick-up location within 10 minutes after the scheduled time, guides must proceed without you to meet other participants. No refunds will be issued. The guides or shuttle drivers will make a reasonable effort to locate you before departure.
Children Participants - Children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their behavior and safety.
No-shows - If registered clients fail to appear at the pick-up location within 10 minutes after their scheduled time, guides must proceed without them to meet other participants. No refunds will be issued.
Minimum Load Requirement
Some of our tours require a minimum passenger number in which to operate, usually 3 total people. When you make a reservation you will be informed if we project there to be a problem reaching the minimum number for that time period.
Departure and Return - Each Rocky Trails activity begins and ends at your Las Vegas hotel door. Each hotel's pick-up location varies so check with us about specific pick-up location.
Seat Belt Policy - All passengers are required by state law to wear seat belts when the vehicle is in operation.
Smoking Policy - Considerate smoking is allowed outdoors in vehicle parking areas unless high fire danger conditions are present. Smoking is never permitted in vehicles, visitor centers, or on hiking trails. Smokers should be very cautious of fire danger in dry desert or forest conditions.
Rocky Trails' excursions are outdoor field activities, which may involve both highway and backcountry vehicle travel. Tours may involve moderately strenuous walking on dirt or rocky trails. The ground surface may be locally uneven, slippery, or precipitous, and contain prickly plants. Adverse weather or climate conditions may occur. Rocky Trails does not promise any particular weather conditions. The guide will review all safety precautions at the beginning of each activity.
